Nursing has never been more demanding. In the aftermath of the pandemic, many nurses across the UK were still carrying the effects of sustained pressure, burnout and disconnection, with limited time or space to focus on their own development and wellbeing. Nursing Live needed to do more than deliver education - it had to re-energise, reconnect and genuinely support the profession. The challenge was to create an experience that combined accredited learning with inspiration, peer connection and personal care, while strengthening long-term engagement with RCNi as a trusted partner in nurses’ careers.
Partnered with RCNi to conceive, position and launch Nursing Live - a brand-new national event combining accredited professional development with wellbeing, connection and celebration for nurses across the UK.
Delivered a full brand and communications programme from a blank page, including brand positioning, visual identity, messaging frameworks, channel strategy, content creation and campaign planning.
Worked with creative partners IYA to develop a vibrant, consumer-facing brand that complemented the wider RCNi portfolio and resonated with nurses across specialties and career stages.
Designed and built a flexible event website to support launch and ongoing campaign phases, enabling content to evolve while clearly showcasing programme details, themed zones, sponsors and exhibitors.
Produced a flagship launch film in partnership with Duna, filming on location at Alder Hey and The Walton Centre hospitals and capturing authentic stories from nurses at the heart of healthcare.
Developed tailored B2B and B2C film edits, alongside a rich content suite including social snippets, stills, video portraits and quotes, deployed across PR, digital advertising, CRM, social media, email and print.
Activated the launch at the RCNi Birmingham Jobs Fair with a live illustration experience that placed nurses’ voices, hopes and aspirations front and centre, generating buzz and highly shareable campaign content.
Reached more than 3.2 million people through an integrated, multi-channel marketing campaign spanning digital, social, PR, email, print and affiliated partner platforms.
Built a highly engaged audience, growing Nursing Live to 9,865 registrations, 5,000 newsletter subscribers and 7,500 monthly website users.
Delivered large-scale awareness via RCNi-owned channels, including homepage takeovers, social amplification, editorial features and email campaigns reaching over 1.3 million subscribers.
Secured extensive editorial coverage across Nursing Standard, specialist journals, RCNi.com and external media, supported by thought leadership, news features and third-party endorsements.
Achieved strong paid digital performance across Meta and LinkedIn, with 1.27m impressions.
Equipped speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and partners with a comprehensive promotional toolkit, supporting consistent amplification across networks and reaching a further 227,500 contacts.
Established Nursing Live as a standout new national, positioning RCNi as a trusted champion of nurses’ professional growth, wellbeing and long-term career development. Since the launch in 2023, the event has continued on every year with no sign of slowing down.
