WORK & WELLBEING FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
The Institute For The Future Of Work
As automation, AI and robotics rapidly reshape the world of work, the conversation is often dominated by innovation and economic opportunity. But behind this progress lies a more complex reality, one where job displacement, inequality and worker wellbeing are increasingly at risk.
The Institute for the Future of Work, co-founded by Christopher Pissarides, set out to address this through the Pissarides Review - a major research programme exploring how technology is transforming work, society and the economy in the UK.
The challenge was to communicate this complex, high-stakes research in a way that felt accessible, human and engaging, while building a distinct identity for the review that could cut through and resonate with policymakers, industry and the wider public.
With the support from IYA Studio, we developed a clear, human-centred brand and digital platform to bring the Pissarides Review to life.
Brand & Identity
Created a distinctive brand identity, including logo, visual system and core presentation assets
Balanced heritage and future by combining industrial-era visual references with modern design treatments
Ensured the identity felt accessible and optimistic, reflecting the people at the heart of the research
Digital Experience
Designed and built a dedicated website
Structured content to make the information accessible, engaging and easy to navigate
Developed messaging that connected policy, research and real-world human impact
Integrated video and editorial storytelling to introduce key themes and bring the work to life
By bringing a human lens to the conversation around automation and technological change, we helped position the Review and the Institute as leading voices shaping the future of work - supporting their mission to futureproof the UK workforce and inform the design of policies and strategies that place wellbeing at the heart of progress.
